Where to start when choosing wine for a Nassau stay

For warm afternoons, Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio and Matua Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough are refreshing and easy to like, and Vieille Ferme Rosé, including the handy 250ml can, is made for a cooler on the sand. Château d'Esclans Whispering Angel is the rosé to bring out when you want to impress. Josh Cellars covers the bases with a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Pinot Noir and a Chardonnay that please a mixed group at a villa dinner, and Sperone Prosecco keeps the bubbles flowing at a good price. Reds are best served slightly cool in the Bahamian heat, so give them twenty minutes in the fridge before pouring. Plan on roughly half a bottle per guest for a dinner and a bottle each for a long boat day with plenty of water alongside.
