Chateau Ormes de Pez is a well regarded Saint Estephe estate on the left bank of Bordeaux, owned by the Cazes family of Lynch Bages. The wine blends Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and a little Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, giving blackcurrant, cedar and tobacco notes with firm, polished tannins. Decant for an hour and serve with roast lamb or a ribeye steak.
